How to Boost Your Podcast Using Fiverr
If you haven’t run any Fiverr campaigns for your podcast, then you my friend are possibly missing out on some great boost opportunities – especially if you are a one-person show. These are possible digital assistants that can spread the word or help make your show that much better. All for five dollars.
Fiverr is a simple concept website – people will do stuff for $5. There are people who will make graphics, record audio, take pictures, write articles or infographics, and more for your show.
Fiverr is also a great way to help you “unstick” your podcast. If you are in a rut, see what someone else will do to bring some life into your show. Get yourself a rebirth of your podcast.
Example: Ten Second Songs
This one is a perfect example for re-tooling your show. Jason Derulo of Ten Second Songs not only has a great voice, he can belt out songs in multiple styles. Check out his YouTube channel on how he took the song “Talk Dirty to Me” and made 20 different styles from Beach Boys to Metallica, Slick Rick, Barry White, and even Aventura.
He takes your ten second script and sing it in a style you like. This is perfect for an intro to your show. You can get extras to add a video, put backup vocals, or just get your song within a couple days.
Get Some Scripts Written
Maybe you have an opinion you want to get but don’t have the skills honed in to put it together. You can hire someone on Fiverr to write a couple hundred words that you read back to your audience.
I have done this when I was under pressure to get things done. I give them an outline of what I want to talk about and they make my points stand out. No different than what any TV or radio show host can do. Even Letterman has script writers.
New Graphics for Your Podcast
When I wanted a new look to iPad365, I turned to Fiverr. I found someone that not only created 5 logos for me to choose from, they also gave me the .ai files so I could make modifications. The end result is a logo I have been using for the last couple years.
I could then turn around and set up another Fiverr to get the logo animated. There are even After Effects artists that can turn your logo from smoke, fire, water, and more.
Social Network Your Shows
This part gets into a grey area so you want to make absolutely sure you understand who you give your money to. But once you weed out the bad, there are a lot of great social media Fiverrs that can Tweet, Facebook, and help you get the word out on your show.
Some of us run our own websites using WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal. Figuring out code may come easy to some, but others need a little help. Maybe you have an idea for a plugin that hasn’t been created yet. You might just want a new theme and don’t have the time to go searching for one.
Maybe Even Promotion? 5 Dollar Sponsors?
Have you thought of using Fiverr as a promotion tool? There are a few gigs that offer ad spots for $5. You could turn that into a sponsorship tool for your show. Instead of donations, you point them to Fiverr where they pay to have you read a quick script or something else. I even see one where they are looking to add your songs for $5.
