Podcasting During the Holidays 0

Should You Record your Podcast During the Holidays?

It’s a big question that comes around every time this year. You have a lot to do and little time to do it. Grandma’s house is not that close. Kids need Star Wars toys. Skipping a podcast or two sounds really inviting. After all – who’s gonna miss it? Everybody. With a little bit of planning, your show can continue on a regular basis while you sip Egg Nog with the fam, stuffing yourself with food, and even passing off that White Elephant gift. I’m Plowing through the holidays! No breaks because im crazy! Chris Holifield– I am Salt Lake...

The website’s front page has several TV channels — from sports, kids stuff and movies to music in different genres. The social area allows you to do one-on-one video chats or broadcasts. This service is also available on iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows devices through apps. Who / What is FilmOn? Filmon.tv...

Day 17: Should You Change the Name of Your Podcast

It happens – you run with a podcast name and after ideas change which make you realize the name doesn’t work anymore. Just recently, Todd Cochrane of GeekNewsCentral.com renamed his morning show to “The New Media Show”.  It fit the new format of the show and made sense. Podcasting is NOT Dead – Insights into Streaming [Roundtable]

In episode 16 of the roundtable, I am joined by Todd Cochrane to continue our series. This is a special edition of the roundtable because we recorded it during hour 4 of Todd’s 24 hour podcast. Award Shows Competing? Podcast Awards, 2012 Stitcher Awards

While it’s definitely a feel-good move, getting an award for something is always a good feeling. Most times you don’t even know someone is listening or watching your show until you realize you have been nominated for an award. Then you get your friends together to vote for you in hopes you get a metal trophy that sits on your mantle. What happens, though, if two award shows vie for your attention? That is what’s happening right now with podcasters. Podcast Awards is in it’s 8th season, while favorite podcatching site Stitcher decided to run an awards show of it’s...
